Pastor Chuck Smith

​

Born in central Florida and raised in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, Pastor Chuck graduated from our own St. Amant Baptist Christian School in 1987, Spencer College of Baton Rouge in 1991 with a diploma in Business Administration/Accounting, and Rock of Ages College of Biblical Studies and Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree in 2011. 

Pastor has a long history of service at LBCStA,:  a youth worker/Sunday School teacher since the early 1990's, Youth Pastor for 20 years, Christian School Administrator/educator for over 20+ years, and director of the Louisiana Independent Baptist Student Convention (later known as the Gulf Coast Baptist Student Convention) for nearly 20 years, among other ministries. 

Pastor has been married to his wife, Becky, for nearly 30 years, and they have one son, Zachary and his wife Morgan.  Pastor and Mrs. Becky were excited to become Papa and Grammy to their granddaughter in 2026.
